What is ACCA?
Association of Chartered Certified Accountants is the world largest accountancy body with around 300,000 students and more than 100,000 members in around 160 countries.

What are the entry requirements?
ACCA offers a flexible entry system to its students. The entry requirements are:
  • A Levels or Graduation (Professional Scheme) with minimum 18 years of age.
  • 21 years of age (Mature Students Entry Route) with no formal qualification.
  • Certified Accounting Technician Route.

Professional Scheme
Professional scheme is designed for those students who have done either A Levels or Graduation with minimum 18 years of age. A student entering into ACCA through professional scheme can opt for four papers at a time. A student who has done A Levels must also fulfill the following conditions:
  • He must have done O Levels with minimum C grade in Mathematics and English.
  • If a student hasn’t achieved C grade in O Levels Mathematics and English must have done A Levels in Accounting and Business Studies.

Mature Student Entry Route
MSER is designed for those students who do not possess any formal qualification but must have reached 21 years of age. The difference between a professional scheme student and a MSER student is that
  • A professional student can opt first four papers at a time.
  • A MSER student has to pass Paper F2 and F3 to enter into professional scheme

Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) Route
On successful completion of CAT, the student is transfered to ACCA part2, known as Skill Module, thus gaining excemption from ACCA part1, known as Knowledge Module.

What is the examination procedure?
ACCA conducts exams on two bases:
  • Manual (Paper based) exams
  • Computer Based Exams

Manual Exams
Manual Exams are conducted twice a year starting from 1st week of June and December. The deadlines for entering into manual exams are 15th April for June session and 15th October for December session.


Computer Based Exams
CBEs are conducted for paper F1, F2 and F3 only.CBEs can be attempted anytime during a year with no deadlines.
Please note that manual exams are conducted by ACCA itself whereas CBEs are conducted by the institute under the supervision of British Council.

How much time is required to complete ACCA?
ACCA qualification is divided into two parts:
  • Exams
  • Practical training

To complete exams minimum of two years are required with 10 years maximum to complete the exam portion. A student has to complete three years practical training to gain the membership of ACCA. The practical training can be completed before, during or after completing the exams.

Do we focus on quality of education?
To maintain and improve the quality of our students a separate quality control department has been established within SKANS which is headed by a senior educationist from the renowned university of Pakistan who has around 40 years experience in the field of education. Skans maintains Individual Student Performance Records through its programmed/ Scheduled ‘Computer Based’ monthly tests and Bi-weekly Student’s Performance Report. The Progress/ Test Reports are regularly sent to the respective parents for information. When sessions start at SKANS?

SKANS offers admissions for June attempt from December of the previous year and from May for December attempt. SKANS has the privilege to start classes for the initial level of ACCA on monthly basis.
